Blog Week 13 - 6th Jul 2020
It seems incredible that we are now in July and have been in ‘lockdown’ for over three months.
The weeks have been full and mostly the weather has been kind. Everyone is thoroughly enjoying the lovely colours in the garden and the gardening club is thriving.
This week we held our monthly ‘in house’ Church Service led by Tony which was very well received.
Taste it Tuesday saw us sampling the delights and learning about the culture and history of Prague.
Sampling pickled sausages, Goulash and bacon dumplings. The tasting would not have been completed without a small glass of Czech beer.
The first minibus trip since lockdown went well. Whilst we are unable to visit our usual haunts such as garden centres and coffee shops the trip out to a local beauty spot was very well received. Staff ensured that all correct social distancing measures were followed.
The week included bingo, games and baking. Exercises were held which staff and residents all joined in.
